The unit's course trains the combats to a high level of commando warfare, field survival, high level navigation, parachuting and specialization in various fields

The Shaldag Unit is a classified Special Forces unit under the command of the Israeli Air Force. The unit's soldiers are required to sign 18 months of regular service in addition to three years of regular service.

 

What are the admission requirements?

Profile 82 (and above).

KBA (quality group level) - 52 (and above).

And to pass successfully the "Unit" physical sorting  with the Shaldag result.

 

What does the role include?

Basic training (04) and then a professional course. The total track takes 1 year and 7 months.

 

Where will I be placed?

In the various battalions in the unit.

The placement in the Shaldag unit is determined by a number of factors that are taken into account: your personal index and preferences as well as the Military's needs. There may be changes in the admission requirements mentioned above and additional considerations that are reflected in the status of your candidacy on this role. Those who are qualified will be given the option to proceed towards training courses, command and officer courses.
