During their regular routine, the combat medics treat sick soldiers at their unit’s medical clinic, just like general medics. Apart from combat medics who are assigned to this placement as soon as they enlist, combatants too can do a combat medic’s course during their combat training. After finishing the course, the combatants are certified as combat medics and can treat injuries if necessary.

What are the admission requirements?

Profile - 72 and above

DAPAR - 50 and above

Yom Hame’a scores - for girls only:

Teamwork - 3 and above

Field - 2 and above

Human Relations - 3 and above

Management and Organization - 2 and above

What does the role include?

Basic training (02), later on a ‘combat medic’ course of 3 months in Bahad 10 (instructional base) which is placed in Kiryat Hahadracha (an instructing campus).

Where will I be placed?

In various IDF medical clinics located around the country.

Those who are qualified will be given the option to precede towards training and command courses.
