The Armored Corps train in one of the most significant weapons in the IDF - the tank. This tool combines tremendous firepower and precise mobility, shielding and advanced technology. As a combat soldier in the Armored Corps, you will be entitled to operate tanks during training, operational employment, contact lines and wherever necessary. The fighters undergo special training for the various tank professions, at the end of which they are integrated into one of the four regular divisions of the Corps - the 7th Brigade, the 188th Brigade, the 401st Brigade and the 460th Brigade.
What are the admission requirement?
- Profile 72 and above in the brigades, and profile 82 in reconnaissance company (known as PALSAR) and an armored company (known as PALMAS)
- There is no KBA limit (quality group level)
What does the role include?
Basic training (03) for two weeks at Shizafon camp. After that, a two-month training course in which they learn the tank's professions - driver, gunner, load and connection - are taught, and an advanced training course for 4 months.

In the various brigade battalions throughout the country
The placement in the Armored Corps is determined by a number of factors that are taken into account: your personal data and preferences as well as the Military's needs.
There may be changes in the admission conditions mentioned above and the additional considerations that are reflected in the status of your candidacy for the position. Those who are qualified will be given the option to proceed towards training courses, command and officer courses.
