Are you excited about your first meeting with the IDF? It is just as important to us as it is for you. We want it to go smoothly, quickly and most importantly positively. The first order has two parts: first part starts at home and the second part takes place at the recruiting office. Read more for everything you need to know.

The First Order is divided into two parts. Part one starts at home, from your computer. You need to complete the process at home or you cannot continue with the second part. After you have completed the first part you can procede to the second part which happens at the recruiting office.

Part I - Starting from home

  • The data verification questionnaire in the personal area
    • This questionnaire is the first step to the recruitment process and its role is to verify your personal data before arriving at the recruitment bureau. The questionnaire is intended for 11th grade students who have not yet undergone the First Order. It includes five main parts: personal details, family, studies, means of communication and a physiological questionnaire. For full information on the questionnaire: ___
  • Filling out and sending the medical questionnaire
    • The medical questionnaire includes questions about your health condition. The medical questionnaire must be filled and signed by a family doctor and attach relevant documents.
    • Those who do not fill out the questionnaire will not be allowed to continue the process of the First Order.
  • How to get there?
    • You can charge your Rav Kav card for free to go to all your summons. You can do this through the Mitgaisim website. You need to enter the personal area on the website, fill in the serial number under the heading “personal details'' found in “my profile”, and 48 hours before the summons date you can recharge the travel in the Rav Kav online application or at one of the various Rav Kav online stations.

Part II - Continuing in the recruitment bureau

  • At the bureau you will first go to the routing station. You will be asked to present your ID card or a valid passport. It is important to know that the order of the stations is random.
  • Psychotechnical test
    • At this station you will perform a series of computerized tests on which you will receive different scores. These scores will affect your placement options in the army. Don’t worry, before entering the test you will be instructed on how to carry out the test.
    • The test is performed on a computer and consists of verbal and analytical intelligence questions. It tests comprehension, thinking, analysis and drawing conclusions. You can only take the test once so it is important to arrive fresh and concentrated to succeed.
    • New immigrants are allowed to take a test in one of the following languages: English, Russian, French, Spanish, Amharic or Arabic.
  • Medical test
    • At this station a medical examination will be performed to determine your profile score. They will check your weight, height, blood pressure, visual acuity and color blindness. You will also have to declare any existing medical issues or physical problems. The examination will include a complete physical examination.
  • The personal interview
    • The personal interview is a personal conversation to get to know you and your personality. In addition, you will go through a Hebrew test to understand your level of Hebrew (you will receive a score for your Hebrew level). This interview will help us find the most suitable placement for you in the army.
  • When you finish all the stations you need to return to the routing stations to make sure you have completed everything before leaving.

Good luck!
