The role of the Search and Rescue team is to save the lives of citizens during emergency events and train to execute special search and rescue missions
The soldiers of the Search and Rescue of the operational sectors, which is under the IDF Home Front Command, maintain an emphasis while conducting patrols, arrests, and handling disturbances. In an emergency, the combats are shuttled to various events, such as impact sites and collapsed buildings, taking part in rescuing trapped citizens and saving lives. The Search and Rescue soldiers are the only ones in the IDF who are authorized to deal with Search and Rescue operations.
What are the admission requirements?
Profile 72 and above or 64 with a permissive clause.
KBA (quality group level) - Men: There is no KBA limitation.Women: 47 and above. Women must commit to compulsory service of 32 months and active reserve service.
What does the role include?
Basic training (05) and advanced training of 10 weeks at the Zikim training base (זיקים). After that, a 14-week advanced training course at the end of which the soldiers are certified to Rifleman level 07.
Where will I be placed?
Placement in the various bases.

The placement as a Naval officer is determined by a number of factors that are taken into account: your personal index and preferences as well as the Military's needs. There may be changes in the admission requirements mentioned above and additional considerations that are reflected in the status of your candidacy on this role. Those who are qualified will be given the option to precede towards training courses, command and officer courses.
